Matthew ‘Whiz’ Buckley is a former Navy fighter pilot and Wall Street superstar. He flew the F/A-18 Hornet for the United States Navy for 15 years, graduated from the Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOP GUN), and flew 44 combat sorties over Iraq. As a young naval officer Whiz taught himself how to trade stocks and eventually options while applying all the things he was learning as a fighter pilot to his trading – having a strategy, implementing tactics, managing risk, contingency planning. But most importantly – Winning.
His methodologies worked so well he popped up on the radar of one of the largest options firms in the world. He became the Chief Strategy Officer of a multi-billion dollar volatility arbitrage firm called PEAK6 Investments headquartered in Chicago and was also the founder & CEO of the Options News Network. He moved to south Florida where he founded Top Gun Options – an options training firm empowering retail & institutional traders and investors of all skill levels to take their options trading to the next level.
Mr. Buckley serves on the board of several charities such as MADD & Top Gun Fighter Foundation.
